Summer
A mountain of sports between Lake Molveno and the Plateau, framed by a unique natural landscape
The Paganella plateau is located in the middle-western area of the Trentino region, between the mountain bearing its name, which face the Valle dell'Adige valley, and the spectacular Brenta Dolomites. The complex also includes Lake Molveno - the second largest lake of the region in terms of size - with its clear bathing waters and its charming natural surroundings. Here you can find the public beach, which is said to be the most beautiful in the Trentino region.
Molveno, Fai della Paganella and Andalo are the main towns in the area. The latter especially boasts a sports centre featuring swimming-pools and an Ice Stadium, as well as organised workshops and internships with leading sports champions. Paganella is part of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park and offers visitors a wide range of choices in terms of hikes - spanning from the easiest to the most difficult - including family-friendly paths, climbing ways to Alpine refuges and aided rock-climbing trails such as the famous fixed-rope routes of the Brenta, and the challenging Via delle Bocchette for the fittest climbers.
The scenery is marked by its numerous peaks and gorges - real natural cathedrals - which make it the most suitable venue for hiking and rock climbing. Numerous ski-lifts are also available - including the one leading to Pradel - and remain open in the summer. The area also features a number of different bike-paths which fall within the scope of the Brenta Bike Dolomite project, in addition to striking launch spots for those who wish to enjoy the thrill of paragliding or hang gliding.
