Val di Fassa

Val di Fassa means Dolomites, the mountains unique for their geological conformation and for their unquestionably beautiful sceneries - a Human Heritage site. The Ladin ethnic community has managed to maintain its language as the natural wealth of the valley, scattered as it is with some of the most famous peaks of the Dolomites, such as the Roda di Vael, the Catinaccio with the Torri del Vajolet, the Sassolungo, the Sella group, the Pordoi, the Monzoni and the unquestionable queen of them all, the Marmolada.

Surrounded by mountains Faxia and Fassia, Fassa Dolomites are the favourite destination for rock climbing buffs and the inspirers of ancient legends. At sunset sunrays spray pink shades on the face of the mountains, giving rise to the phenomenon known as the Enrosadira.

The tradition of hospitality is deep-rooted in this land. Its beautiful towns - the largest being Canazei and Moena - offer a wide choice of up-to-date hotels and accommodation facilities suitable for every type of vacation, from the most sportive to the wellness-oriented.

Thanks to more than 200 km of slopes for downhill skiing, this is one of the capitals of international skiing. In the middle of the Dolomiti Superski, the biggest circuit in the world, Val di Fassa features one of the most state-of-the-art ski areas ever, with last generation equipment, which guarantee the best snow conditions for skiing throughout the entire season. You can also practise carving, snowboarding, telemark and night skiing.
