Val di Fiemme is one of the most famous skiing areas in Trentino region and hosts important international cross-country ski competition
Val di Fiemme is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps. It is equipped for both high level downhill skiing and Nordic skiing, as well as après-ski (after-ski) and endless ski-related activities. Recognized as the cradle of cross-country skiing, Val di Fiemme hosts world competitions in this very sport along with other important competitions, such as the Marcialonga di Fiemme and Fassa. Crossed by the Avisio stream, the valley is surrounded by the Monte Corno Natural Park on the West, the Latemar chain and Pale di San Martino on the North, by Val San Pellegrino and the Paneveggio Natural Park - which is considered one of the most important and beautiful parks in Europe - on the East, and by the Lagorai chain with Cermis on the South.
The Val di Fiemme-Obereggen ski pass gives access to numerous ski centres and ski-runs, including Latemar, Alpe Cermis, Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia, Lavazè and Oclini Passes, totalling over 100 km of slopes available. The Lavazè Pass and Tesero Lake cross-country ski centres (venue for the World Championships) are well-equipped for cross-country skiing. These facilities, plus the Marcialonga trail, the Bellamonte and lower valley ring tracks, offer 150 Km of ski-runs, satisfying as such even the most demanding skiers. The Super Nordic Skipass gives access to Val di Fiemme cross-country ski centres.
