This area is a cornucopia of diverse qualities, ranging from its museums to its castles and quality wines. Skiing is the thing in the Polsa-San Valentino ski area on the Brentonico plateau. The slopes, interconnecting into a wide and varied carousel, are perfect for learning to ski and are sure to offer loads of skiing fun for everyone. Arriving from the south there are the ski resorts closest to the A22 Brenner motorway. The snow area also offers a snow park in Polsa, snow shoe routes, sled slopes and ice skating facilities in the converging valleys, the ruggedly beautiful Valli del Leno and Val di Gresta, Trentino's organic orchard.

Rovereto, the City of Peace, is the administrative centre of Vallagarina. It is the seat of many museums, including the Mart (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art), one of the most important in Europe. All offer permanent and special temporary exhibitions.

This section of the Adige boasts some of the finest castles in Trentino: the fortified citadel of Castel Beseno up north, and Castello di Sabbionara di Avio (in the south) both of which splendidly lit at night. In between, the castle of Rovereto, Castel Pietra, Castel Noarna, as well as many others in the various towns of the area.

This land abounds in wine & food attractions consisting of Trentino's quality wines and schnapps, its typical dishes to be enjoyed along the Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori (Road of Wines and Flavours), on the Giro delle Malghe (Tour of Alpine dairies) on Mount Baldo, and in the many restaurants, wineries and distilleries of the Strada del Vino e dei Sapori della Vallagarina.
