Summer
Trekking and water sports, fun and well-being in breath-taking surroundings
Exploring the emerald-green lands of natural parks, as well as fishing, canoeing, kayaking and rafting on streams and lakes... Val di Sole extends from the Passo del Tonale to the Val di Non valley and includes the North-located valleys of Pejo and Rabbi. The area is crowned by Brenta, Adamello, Presanella and Ortles-Cevedale mountain ranges, which rise up to the glaciers and reach an altitude of 3500 m above sea level. Most of the territory is safeguarded as Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta and Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio.
The landscape is uniquely beautiful: majestic peaks, forests, streams, lakes. Alpine summer pastures and Alpine farmhouses are one with the surroundings. Water is the valleys' highlight. The Noce stream runs through the bottom of the valley - a true paradise for canoe, kayak and rafting lovers, and theatre of the world championships for these water sports. Since the Mountain bike racing championships also take place here, the area features numerous tracks and paths, including the Val di Sole bike path, winding along the Noce stream and following ancient, rural roads.
The Adamello and Brenta chains abound in Alpine Lakes (more than a hundred) and glaciers, offering endless excursion and crossing chances for everyone, beginners and experts alike.
Water coming from the springs in Val di Rabbi and in Val di Pejo hold therapeutical properties. As such, there are many well-known spas where you can benefit from this unique water.
The Dolomiti Express is a train equipped to carry bikes up to the top of Val di Sole.
