Winter
Downhill and cross-country skiing, ski-mountaineering and snowboarding in an extraordinarily beautiful natural landscape
The valleys Val di Sole, Pejo and Rabbi, located in North-east Trentino, offer all kinds of opportunities for ski lovers with their state-of-the-art facilities, fully equipped ski schools and convenient transport means.
There are numerous multi-difficulty ski runs for downhill and cross-country skiing and for snowboarding and safe areas for ski-mountaineering. Val di Sole extends from the Passo del Tonale to the Val di Non valley and includes the valleys of Pejo and Rabbi. The area is surrounded by the Brenta, Adamello, Presanella and Ortles-Cevedale mountain chains.
Most of the territory is safeguarded as Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta and Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio. Water is the valleys' highlight, with their numerous lakes and waterfalls. In Val di Rabbi and in Val di Pejo, water holds therapeutical qualities, which play a key role in the treatments offered by the famous spas located in this area.
The Folgarida-Marilleva ski area is a winter sports paradise: the connection with Madonna di Campiglio creates an immense ski area. The Presena glacier and Passo Tonale, together with Pontedilegno and Temù, form another 100 km of ski tracks. Natural and artificial snow guarantee an extended ski season starting from Autumn through late Spring. Located in the Parco dello Stelvio, Pejo is an ideal holiday venue for families with children. For cross-country ski lovers there are over 55 km of well-equipped ski ring tracks.
You can load your ski equipment onto the Dolomiti Express train, which reaches most stations in the Val di Sole.
