Villa Santi
The new Adamello Brenta Nature Park centre of environmental education was opened in October 2009 in "Villa Santi", in the Montagne Commune. Included in the territorial network of the Park Houses, this "House of Culture" is not only dedicated to environmental education and high level training, but also to winter and summer holidays at a slow pace of life in contact with nature.
An old country house that has undergone restoration to retain and conserve its traditional appearance adopting, at the same time, innovative technologies mindful of healthy materials, energy efficiency and water saving. "Villa Santi" is an example of sustainable architecture.
The house, immersed in green meadows and surrounded by farmsteads, can host up to 24 persons.
The house has conference rooms, creative workshops for processing milk ("casarada") and honey extraction, a practice room, equipped areas for studying, training and recreation.
A chef runs the kitchen and prepares ‘healthy' meals using typical mountain produce, some of which is organically grown in the centre's vegetable garden.
Educational projects
By taking part in one of the educational projects, dedicated to learning about the territory, discovering the woods and the animals living in them and the traditional activities of the mountains, you can enjoy an educational experience at any time during the holiday.
The activities on offer involve participation, both indoors and outside, in the theme workshops on spontaneous herbs, the art of making bread and vegetable gardening. There is, also, the possibility of going on excursions, practising orienteering and, in the evening, listening to legends narrated around a bonfire, or discovering the nightlife of the wood by listening to the bellows of deer.
