Not merely tourist promotion but also marketing for the entire region, from typical products to culture: this is the task undertaken by Trentino SpA, the company which, in 2003, took the place of the Trentino Tourist Promotion Agency (Apt). The new concern also has the task of linking and coordinating all other associations operating in this sector: the Provincial authority, the Chamber of Commerce, the University, the local tourist boards, the Pro Loco consortia, and other pertinent associations, operators and businesses. Trentino Spa is in actual fact responsible for representing the tourist-related as well as territorial image of the Trentino region on the widest scale, for managing the trade name, for promoting and advertising Trentino as an integrated system of values and activities, for bringing out specific aspects, for marketing activities in the different sectors, for public and press relations, for research and market analysis, for editorial backing activities, for collaboration with local tourist promotion operators and marketing assistance; all this not only in the field of tourism, but also in the fields of sport, culture, and quality produce.
