San Martino di Castrozza

The hike starts at the uphill station of the Rosetta cableway, reachable in a few minutes from San Martino di Castrozza by means of the Colverde cable-car and the new cableway

From the uphill station of the cableway (2600 m), climb down to the Pedrotti Refuge in Rosetta (closed during the winter season), then take signposted path no. 709 which winds its way up and down the Plateau until you reach the Pradidali Basso Pass at the base of the Fradusta Glacier.
From here, visitors can climb up to the eponymous peak to enjoy its lovely views. Return to the Rosetta cableway using the same route from the Pradidali Basso Pass.

Signs
On the Plateau, signs are often hidden by the snow in winter and orienteering could be difficult, particularly if it is foggy. As such, we recommend enjoying this hike in the company of Alpine Guides.

Refreshments
The only places where you can stop to enjoy refreshments are the self-service restaurant, Quota 2000 (phone 0439 68168), with its wonderful views in Colverde, and the snack-bar Rosetta at the uphill station of the cableway.
