via Della Stadio, 17
38042 Miola, Baselga di Pinè, Italy
The Ice Stadium at Baselga di Pinè is located only 18 km away from Trento. It is the Federal C.O.N.I. Centre for ice sports, a multipurpose venue that allows one to practise speed and figure ice skating, hockey and broomball. The building features a 30 m x 60 m indoor rink, open both in winter and summertime, and a 400 m long outdoor ice track for speed skating. It is actually among the ten fastest tracks in the world. Since it opened in 1986, Ice Rink Pinè has been the venue of numerous international and European speed skating trophy competitions. Short track - a relatively new sport - is one of the most popular sports practised in the centre.
The premises stand at the heart of a true work-out area, which in the winter offers a 3.5 km long cross-country skiing trail, whereas in the summertime, a field with a school for learning archery. On special occasions, Ice Rink Pinè turns into a huge stage for attractions, such as Stars on Ice, an event in which internationally renowned ice skaters show off their skills in front of the Ice Rink audience.
