Lakeside holidays
Sports, fresh air and relaxation. All of this awaits you in Trentino, the land of lakes - almost 300 of them - distributed throughout the region. In this section find information about Lake Garda and Lake Ledro, the Valsugana lakes, Levico and Caldonazzo and Lake Molveno
Trentino's lakes are ideal for spending an unforgettable holiday of fun and well-being. At the lifeguard-attended beaches, equipped with all necessary services and infrastructures, you can spend your sunny days windsurfing or sailing, or more simply sunbathing.
Lake Garda is a veritable corner of the Mediterranean set among the Alps, thanks to its mild temperatures and the chance of sailing and windsurfing, and an "outdoor gymnasium" for trekkers, cyclists and mountain bikers thanks to the numerous cycling paths and the trails of the Mountain&Garda Bike circuit dedicated to mountain bike pundits.
Valsugana has lakes Caldonazzo and Levico, both set in a beautiful natural frame of woods and hills where you can water-ski and canoe as well as enjoy the state of the art Spa centre close by. Cycling enthusiasts have at their disposal the Valsugana cycling path circuit as well as the Dolomiti Lagorai Bike circuit, offering almost one thousand kilometres of tracks.
Crystal-clear water is also to be found at Lake Ledro set among the woods with trekking trails and archaeological excavation sites such as the pile-dwelling site and the adjoining museum. There is also Molveno with its lake that is one of Europe's largest over 800 metres above sea level, set between the Paganella and the Brenta Dolomites, offering trekking and mountain bike excursioning along the Dolomiti di Brenta Bike and Dolomiti di Brenta Trek circuits. What more can a family on holiday want?
