In each refuge you will be received by the friendly smile of the wardens, a familiar welcome and a glass of TRENTODOC Metodo Classico accompanied by the flavours of our land.
The Refuges of Taste is a communication event organized by the Department for Agriculture, Forests, Tourism and Promotion of the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Tourism Service of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Trentino Marketing Spa, the Association Gestori Rifugi del Trentino, the Fondazione Accademia della Montagna and the Sat with the Gestori Rifugi del Trentino. Through special menus of Trentino gastronomic tradition, the event aims to promote the opening of the refuges in the mountains after summer.
Around 40 refuges this year will participate in this project.
SPECIAL MENU
During the event the refuges will propose a choice of courses of the best Trentino gastronomic tradition, purposely worked out by the starred chef Rinaldo Dalsasso and his colleagues in the refuges. Vegetable soup with Trentino char, mushroom dumplings with melted alpine dairy butter, potato dumplings, braised meat with Storo polenta and local cheeses, walnut tart and Val di Non apple flan together with DOC wines. Don't miss the chance to taste Trentino flavours at a very special price.
New feature: the dish of the refuges of taste
This year, the new feature is the Dish of the Refuges of Taste. Not only does this dish enhance the best gastronomic tradition of Trentino but it has also been created in collaboration with food experts. Enjoying the gourmet products of Trentino in one of the many mountain refuges is a pleasure that will provide you with a longlasting memory. When this experience includes a dish created for the occasion by starred chef Rinaldo Dalsasso, who also considers the nutritional value of his recipes, it will be accompanied by wellbeing.
- Marinated trout with apple vinegar
- Bread dumplings with herbs and cheeses
- Pork cheek cooked in TRENTODOC, with polenta or pureed potatoes
The Dish of the Refuges of Taste costs €16, including drinks.
