Living in contact with nature, discovering long-lost sensations, experiencing forgotten atmospheres, recuperating energy... this is the philosophy of "Vacanze in baita", a provincial project that aims to launch an individual and ecologically sustainable tourism.

"Vacanze in baita" - a cooperative of mountain chalet owners, founded in 1996 - proposes an offer in many ways innovative. The novelty consists in having found a new form of hospitality, mainly for families and groups of friends or acquaintances. The owners have adapted old rural mountain buildings as accommodation catering for the main needs of guests today.
Recently renovated, nearly all the chalets have a well-equipped kitchen area on the ground floor, with one or more independent kitchenettes, comfortable dining and sitting rooms. Most of them have a fireplace or ‘stube'. The rooms on the floor above have 2/3/4 beds and bathroom facilities.
In the interest of eco-sustainability, some of the chalets have solar panels to produce electricity or hot water.

Situated in meadows and woods, the chalets are an ideal departure point for walks, mountain bike outings and horse rides. You can go fishing, canoeing, sailing and windsurfing on the lakes and torrents in the area and also practise water skiing. In the winter season the nearness of the ski lifts will meet the requirements of enthusiasts of downhill and cross-country skiing and also of ski mountaineering.

The chalets are situated in Valle dei Mocheni, on the Vigolana plateau, on the southern side of the Lagorai mountains in Valsugana, on the Tesino plateau and in the area of Primiero-Vanoi. Access to them is guaranteed by easy roads from the nearest inhabited centres.
