Caldonazzo: water sports on the lake, entertainment and peaceful surroundings
Caldonazzo is a traditional town located on a wide plain stretching among the lake bearing its name, fruit orchards and the River Centa.
Caldonazzo is a pleasant location for a summer holiday. Vacations are spent on the banks of the lake with its wide, well-kept beaches, nearby campsites, and traditional bars, restaurants, pizzerias and pubs. Tourists can enjoy a wide range of water sports, such as sailing, windsurfing, canoeing; or they can simply take a stroll on the long promenade stretching along the banks of the lake, or relax at the lido or the boating club. Foot and bike-paths wind through fields and hills, taking visitors to the church of San Valentino on the Tenna hillock, to the Vezzena plateau or to the Valsugana bike-path.
Guests can also enjoy a stroll amongst the traditional alleyways and houses of the town, overlooked by the outstanding bastioned outline of the Magnifica Corte Trapp (1500), a castle in which justice used to be administered, located in front of the 13th Century Church of San Sisto.
