Castello-Molina is Val di Fiemme's first town and it opens to the Dolomites and Lagorai mounts
Castello-Molina is the first town you meet coming into Val di Fiemme. It is made up by two main villages, Molina and Castello which are about 2 kilometres apart. Castello (981 metres) combines its Sixteenth-century building style with its state-of-the-art tourist facilities, and Molina (853 metres), which was renowned in the past mainly for its mills. Nowadays they offer spectacular landscapes, facilities for many kinds of sports as well as access to all the facilities and attractions offered in the valley.
In the winter, the Val di Fiemme ski centres are well-equipped for cross-country skiing; the nearby Cermis and Pampeago ski areas cater for downhill skiing; you can also try the thrilling experience of ski-mountaineering on the Lagorai chain.
