Summer

Sports, wellness and entertainment in the Cavalese summer

Cavalese is the historical and administrative centre of Val di Fiemme. Stretched over a fluvial-glacial terrace, it slightly slants downwards where the valley opens up. The main facilities (such as the civil hospital) and administrative offices are located there. Cavalese is appreciated during the summer months for its evocative scenery and tranquillity. Cavalese offers numerous highlights for summer visitors, such as mountain walks, horseback and mountain-bike rides. The area thrives with accommodations including hotels, vacation apartments, bed&breakfasts, and farm holidays, all of them giving access to the Ice Arena, swimming pools, fitness and wellness facilities, and the park for Nordic walking. Other entertainment proposals include events featuring music, food and historical commemoration. It is a wonderful place for a family-friendly holiday, for it provides planned kid activities as well as facilities supervised by special instructors and entertainment staff (see Family Card).
Among places to visit, don't miss the Centro di Arte Contemporanea (Contemporary Art Centre) located in Cavalese, and the ancient Bishop's Palace which is decorated with splendid frescoes and hosts the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme.
