The tiniest town in Val di Sole, a world apart from standard tourist itineraries
Cavizzana is the tiniest town of the Val di Sole, and it stands alone in the lower valley on the right bank of the Noce stream. It is not part of the traditional tourist itineraries, yet the beauty of its nature is breath-taking. An easy, panoramic walking track starts from Cavizzana's typical Alpine farmhouses and leads up to Lake Verdés (1641 meters high), on a plateau, which offers a spectacular view of Val di Sole on one side, and of Val di Non on the other. Cavanizza's economy, as for all the other towns in the lower valley, is almost exclusively based on fruit growing.
It is easy to reach the numerous sport facilities in the Val di Sole valley, and organise tours in the nearby valleys.
