Renowned for its precious vineyards and home to Marzemino
Isera is protected by a morainic rise festooned with rows of vine trellises, the town's real treasure. The typical production of Isera is the full-bodied Marzemino, one of the noblest wines of the region, that attracts visitors to the area's many wineries.
The town boasts historical and artistic sites, such as the ancient church of San Vincenzo, reconstructed between 1655 and 1683, the bell-tower of which seems to have been derived from the donjon of an ancient castle. Noteworthy are also Palazzo Fedrigotti, today the city hall, with its 18th century decorations, Palazzo de´ Probizer, seat to the Casa del Vino, and Palazzo Vannetti. A particularly interesting attraction is the Salvatore Nuvoli Museum of Postcards, a curious collection consisting of twenty thousand pieces, set up in Palazzo Galvagni. Near the elementary school one can visit the remains of an ancient Roman villa.
In the environs of Isera worth a visit is the church of Santa Maria in Brancolino, one of the valley's most admirable religious structures.
