At the foot of Mount Bondone, discover the village of Lasino
Lasino is located at the foot of Mount Bondone, also known as "Alpe di Trento". The village still holds traces of an ancient Roman inhabited area and of numerous Medieval and Renaissance houses.
The beautiful church of S. Pietro features a number of frescoes worth seeing. It dates back to 1537, but was re-built and consecrated in 1881. Other interesting places to see include the Santo Crocefisso chapel, the residential complex and the Ciani Bassetti Park, the latter two located in the town-centre. Moreover, archaeology lovers can follow the path connecting Castel Madruzzo to Cavedine. Lasino is only at a two-hour walk from Mount Bondone. Don't miss the wonderful hike to Palon (2090 meters); from this peak you will enjoy a spectacular 360° view of the Trentino and South Tyrol mountains.
