A mild climate and crystal-clear water are the best postcard of Lake Lavarone
Lavarone is a municipality featuring a number of villages, all of which are representative of the truest Trentino hospitality. Visitors can choose between sport and fun at Bertoldi village, history at Cappella, entertainment and culture at Gionghi.
The well-kept natural surroundings and the climate mildness are ideal features for outdoor sport activities. Lavarone offers a beautiful lake with crystal waters,52 hiking and walking trails of different lengths, as well as a trekking path linking the Austro-Hungarian forts built during World War I. Sport walking enthusiasts can enjoy the Nordic Walking Park, opened in 2006, which features 17 paths of various difficulty levels.
You will also find a number of mountain-bike and horse-riding trails, offering interesting and spectacular views of the forts, while children can have fun playing in the superb nature of the Plateau: the large Parco Palù, near Cappella, is specially equipped as a kid playground. Lavarone also offers educational and recreational activities for children and family holiday packages.
The town also features a wide range of other facilities and amenities for its visitors, such as the Moar sports centre, a conference centre, a tennis club, the Triangolo with a pub, bowling and disco, as well as the Belvedere-Gschwent Fort Museum.

Car:
Coming from the north, along the A22 Brennero motorway, exit Trento Centro (30 km distance from the toll gate), then along the Fricca SS 349 state road; coming from the south exit Rovereto Nord, SS 12 state road to Calliano, then along the Valdastico SS 350 state road. Along the Valdastico A31 motorway (Piovene Rocchette toll gate), then the Valdastico SS 350 state road (37km).
Public transport:
FS railway station Trento (28 km), Rovereto (30 km). Bus connections to Lavarone by the Atesina bus lines.
Airplane:
Coming from north, the nearest airport is the new airport in Bolzano, from south Verona Catullo.
