Prestigious Trentino tourist resort, Madonna di Campiglio is the favourite destination for winter sport lovers
Located at 1550 m in a beautiful basin between the Brenta Dolomites group and the Adamello and the Presanella glaciers, Madonna di Campiglio is one of the most famous resorts of Trentino, as well as Val Rendena's "driving force" underlying tourism development. A paradise for skiers and winter sport lovers, Madonna di Campiglio stands out for its fast, super-reliable, state-of-the-art lifts and for its spectacular natural environment. Up to 60 kilometres of sk-runs featuring different difficulty levels can be accessed to and enjoyed directly from the town-centre. The town is also connected to the Folgarida/Marilleva ski area, and skiers have the chance to experience a non-stop skiing full-immersion by enjoying a total of 110 km tracks. Launched as a tourist centre in the second half of the 20th Century - yet already an holiday resort much loved by the noble and rich Austrian and Mitteleuropean middle class in the 19th century - it has featured celebrity guests such as Princess Sissi and the Emperor Franz Joseph. The town still features its age-old charm, enhanced by high-quality accommodation on offer to tourists.

Car:
Madonna di Campiglio can easily be reached from north and south on the Brennero state road 12 or the motorway A22 (exit Trento Center, 70 km distance from the toll gate), then on the Caffaro state road SS 237; or from east-west on the motorway Milano-Venice (exit Brescia east), then on the Caffaro state road SS 237, then on the SS 239.
Public transport:
There are bus services from the railway station Trento to Tione-Pinzolo-Madonna di Campiglio; or coming from the other direction by train to Brescia and then by bus to Tione-Pinzolo-Madonna di Campiglio.
Airplane:
The nearest airports are Catullo in Verona (90 km distance), Marco Polo in Venice (195 km), Milano Linate (245 km) and the new airport in Bolzano (60 km).
