Streams for canoe lovers, Mezzana offers adventure sports and wellness
Mezzana is a small town located in the Val di Sole valley, and includes Marilleva (900 and 1400 - a winter paradise for skiers) and Roncio, a lovely Alpine village near the tiny church. The mountains all around offer unforgettable natural landscapes, together with the waters of the Noce stream, along which the International Canoe Slalom Gymnasium and the new Sports Centre have been built.
The ancient town centre features steep, narrow alleys and a few elegant buildings, such as the Casa Maturi built in the 16th century, the parish church SS. Pietro e Paolo and the sister church Madonna di Caravaggio.
The small villages of Ortisè (1477 m) and Menas (1517 m) also belong to the Mezzana area.
