Molveno

Summer

Molveno overlooks the lake, with its green lido fully equipped with sport and relax areas. Lake Molveno is the second largest lake in the region in terms of both size and depth, and its highlight is its extremely clear waters. Molveno is an excellent starting-point for Alpine tours on the Brenta Dolomites and in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. A cableway located in the town centre takes visitors directly to the Pradel Plateau (1400 m), where numerous paths and fixed-rope routes begin. One of the most famous trails in the area is the Sentiero delle Bocchette, which attracts thousands of tourists every year.

With its tennis courts, Olympic-size pool, archery facility, bowls green, mountain-bike paths, hang gliding launch pad, roller-skating rink, mini golf, football and volleyball pitches, sailing, windsurfing, fishing opportunities and a rock-climbing gym, Molveno is the ideal place for those who look for a sporty holiday destination. The Forest Park adventure trails on the Pradel Plateau are great fun for everyone.

Those who rather prefer to relax on holiday, can enjoy peaceful boat trips and long walks on the banks of Lake Molveno and across the sorrounding maple, cornel, hazel and birch woods. Special mention goes to the tiny Gothic Church of San Vigilio and the ancient "rassica" Taialacqua sawmill, which dates back to the 16th century, has recently been refurbished and is still powered by the waters of the Rio dei Molini stream.
