Ossana, for a holiday in the midst of history and traditions
Political, administrative and ecclesiastical centre of the upper part of the Val di Sole valley, Osaana is the main venue of the Municipality, which includes the villages of Fucine and Cusiano.
The town is overlooked by the Torre del Castello di S. Michele (1191), a tower built up on a hill inhabited since the Bronze Age.
The village of Fucine - dating back to 1400 - used to feature many workshops for ironsmiths; during the First World War it was the headquarter of the Austrian Command. Cusiano is famous for hosting the birth place of Ergisto Bezzi (1835-1920), a survivor of Garibaldi's "Thousand" army.
There are two beautiful churches to see in Ossana: the church of S. Vigilio located in the upper part of the town, whose origins date back earlier than 1000 (it may be the oldest church in the valley), featuring one of the richest historical parish archives; and S. Maria Maddalena church (built earlier than 1368).

from Bologna - Verona on the A22 Brenner motorway, exit at "Trento Nord". Take the new Trento Nord-Rocchetta link road towards Lavis; take the tunnel towards SS43 Val di Non. After Cles take SS42, heading towards Passo del Tonale.
from Brenner, exit at San Michele all'Adige, head right on SS43 Val di Non. After Cles take SS42, heading towards Passo del Tonale.

The Trento - Malè - Marilleva station is just 200 metres from the Trento train station and from here you can take the DOLOMITI EXPRESS, the electric train for Val di Sole.

The nearest airports are Catullo in Verona (90 km distance), Marco Polo in Venice (195 km), Milano Linate (245 km) and the new airport in Bolzano (60 km).
