Summer
From the plateau to the mountain peak, De Gasperi's birthplace
Pieve del Tesino is a winter and summer tourist destination and is renowned as it houses the birthplace of statesman Alcide De Gasperi (1881-1954). The village is located on the Southern foot of Monte Silana and opens up fan-shaped within the Tesino Basin.
Tourists to the area can enjoy walks and hikes surrounded by its beautiful landscape. The granite massif of Cima D´Asta (2,847 m) stands to the North of the village, and is one of the most popular destinations for alpinists and amateur mountaineers on the Alta via del Granito.
The Museo Casa De Gasperi (De Gasperi's Museum-Home), the churches of the Assunta and of San Sebastiano and the beautiful Villa Daziaro (private property) are all worth a visit, as are the Arboreto del Tesino, the River Park, Val Malene and the Cima d'Asta Range.
Visitors can also enjoy a round of Golf at La Farfalla golf course.
