Ski and sports in the Dolomites, Predazzo features tradition and culture too

Located on the North-East edge of the valley where the Avisio and Travignolo streams join, Predazzo is the most populated town in Val di Fiemme. It is a year-round holiday spot and extremely relevant for its traditions, culture and history. Predazzo is special for its numerous characteristic "tabià", old traditional Ladin farmers' huts in which animals used to be kept and people used to work.

The Predazzo-Gardonè closed cabin ski-lift connects the town with the Ski Center Latemar ski area. There are also numerous ski-runs for downhill skiing thanks to the state-of-the-art ski-lift facilities in the Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia ski area located 6 km away along the road to Rolle Pass. Other centres are available for cross-country skiing in the valley, especially the Marcialonga di Fiemme e di Fassa ski-runs. Five kilometers far from Predazzo, you find a delightful park, Parco Naturale di Paneveggio, with a deer-watching gated area.

Highlights to see: the "stadio del salto" (ski-jump stadium) where the World Championship took place in 1991 and 2003, and which organizes a full calendar of spectacular events; the two churches of the town.
With its Alpine-flavoured bars, Predazzo is also a good venue to have fun in the evening.
