Longtime tourist destination, Predazzo is all about culture, tradition and hospitality
Located in the north-easternmost part of the Val di Fiemme, where torrent Avisio merges with Travignolo, Predazzo is the most densely populated town in the valley.
All year round holiday location, it is extremely rich in history, culture and tradition. Predazzo is famous for its characteristic “tabià”, typical farmers' huts which in the old times animals used to be kept and people worked in. The Museo di Geologia (Geology Museum) shows the geological and mineralogical features of this Alpine site. Must-see in Predazzo: the celebrated ski-jump stadium that hosted the World Championship in 1991 and 2003 and where many events are held throughout the year and two churches in the town-center. Just a few kilometers away from Predazzo you will find Parco Naturale di Paneveggio Visitor Center, famous for its officinal botanical garden and deer-watching area. On the way to Passo Rolle there is Bellamonte at an elevation of 1372 meters. Its excellent location makes Predazzo a suitable place for hiking and mountain-biking and it also boasts a vibrant nightlife scene.
Ski and sports in the Dolomites, Predazzo features tradition and culture too
Located on the North-East edge of the valley where the Avisio and Travignolo streams join, Predazzo is the most populated town in Val di Fiemme. It is a year-round holiday spot and extremely relevant for its traditions, culture and history. Predazzo is special for its numerous characteristic "tabià", old traditional Ladin farmers' huts in which animals used to be kept and people used to work.
The Predazzo-Gardonè closed cabin ski-lift connects the town with the Ski Center Latemar ski area. There are also numerous ski-runs for downhill skiing thanks to the state-of-the-art ski-lift facilities in the Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia ski area located 6 km away along the road to Rolle Pass. Other centres are available for cross-country skiing in the valley, especially the Marcialonga di Fiemme e di Fassa ski-runs. Five kilometers far from Predazzo, you find a delightful park, Parco Naturale di Paneveggio, with a deer-watching gated area.
Highlights to see: the "stadio del salto" (ski-jump stadium) where the World Championship took place in 1991 and 2003, and which organizes a full calendar of spectacular events; the two churches of the town.
With its Alpine-flavoured bars, Predazzo is also a good venue to have fun in the evening.

Predazzo may be reached, arriving from South and North, via the state road 12 of the Brenner pass or via the motorway A22 (exit Enga/Ora, toll gate 38km distance, Trento North or S. Michele) and then along the state road SS48 of the Dolomites (from Enga/Ora) in the direction of Cavalese or (from Lavìs) via the SS612 of the Val di Cembra or arriving from the SS50 of the Rolle pass San Martino di Castrozza.
There is a direct connection to Trento station or better to Egna/Ora station; both offer a good bus service to Predazzo.
Nearby airports are Verona Catullo (at a distance of 90 km), Venice Marco Polo (195 km), Milan Linate (245 km) and the new airport of Bolzano (60 km).
