Imer: the gateway to the Valle del Primiero

Imer is the gateway to the Valle di Primiero, a fact reflected in its name, which means "the lowest town in the valley" (Imerium). Located in the shadow of Monte Vederna, a vast plateau of fields and forests at the foot of Monte Pavione, Imer welcomes visitors with a wide range of hotels and other types of accommodation. Its tiny historical centre is dominated by the small church of church of San Silvestro.
Imer is an ideal base for enjoying all the summer amenities and facilities available in the area of Primiero, San Martino di Castrozza, up to Vanoi, whether it's relaxation or sports activities in green surroundings, cultural events and entertainment for families with children.
Archaeology lovers will undoubtedly enjoy a recent interesting discovery made on the edge of the town, a Longobard burial - dating back to the 6th century CE - where a great deal of grave goods have been found.
The view of the Gruppo delle Pale di San Martino massif from Imer is truly enchanting.
