Sagrón Mis: a viewpoint for the stunning spectacle of the Dolomites

A tiny municipality in the Valle del Primiero straddling the Veneto region, Sagròn Mis includes the two villages of Mis and Sagron, and has been home for centuries to chair-makers (known locally as "garechéti"), coal sellers, miners and woodcutters. Mis is located on a windswept prairie with a stunning view of the Dolomites. Between the Valleys of the Rio delle Bastie and of the River Mis, which join together downstream, there are several farmhouses. Sagron is located on a small plateau - where the River Mis meets the Pezzea - in a more hidden position than Mis.
Worthy of note are the parish church of the Madonna di Loreto, built in 1630, and further up the houses belonging to the Mattiuzzi family, towards the prati delle Casere fields and of Prà di Là.
At Mis di Sotto you can visit the small church of Madonna delle Grazie, built in 1901.
In the wintertime visitors can enjoy skiing in the Primiero area and nearby San Martino di Castrozza.
