Hidden in a corner of Val di Non, Rumo borders South Tyrol
High peaks crown Rumo, a small town located between the Noce basin and Val d'Ultimo in South Tyrol. Rumo features nine villages or ville, which used to be called "cappelle" in the past. The villages are located on slopes at an altitude of about one thousand metres.
The Rumo valley is completely different from the other valleys in Val di Non. Being partially isolated, it has maintained its typical architectural style. There is much evidence of the past splendour and wealth in the village, such as the buildings with impressing doorways often decorated with coat-of-arms and frescoes, and the votive capitals dating back to the 17th Century.
Rumo offers numerous opportunities for sports and outdoor activities: from easy hikes to the most challenging trekking trails as well as mountain-bike routes.
Ski mountaineering activities are available during winter season, and in the Autumn visitors can enjoy the beauty of the woods and collect mushrooms.
