Hikes to Monte Ciolino and visits to admire the remains of the three castles
Telve di Sopra is a small village enjoying an excellent, sunny location. In the past, it used to be a major stopping-point on the road connecting the age-old castles of Arnana, Castellalto and San Pietro, which - together with Castel Telvana - were part of the defensive line protecting the valley.
A number of interesting trails for hikes on Monte Ciolino, as well as in the Val Calamento - one of the neatest and best kept valleys of the Trentino region - and those ones taking travellers to the Sentiero della Pace all leave from Telve di Sopra.
Apart from the remains of the three castles, the stops on the Via Crucis climbing up to Colle di San Pietro, Val d'Ezze and Val di Fregio are also worth experiencing.

Telve di Sopra can be reached along the Brennero A 22 motorway (exit Trento Centro, 39 km) and continuing along SS 47 della Valsugana (exit Borgo Valsugana), afterwards along the SP 110 di Telve.
