Tesero

Summer

Located on a terrace facing the Lagorai chain in the heart of Val di Fiemme, Tesero is an important winter and summer tourist center. It features a highly rated Cross-country Ski Center, where numerous international competitions are held. It is known as the cittadella dell'artigianato fiemmese (Fiemmese handcrafts hamlet) for its ever-growing artistic and manufacturing worth. It is actually renowned for its musical instruments (organs and pianos), furniture, window and door frames and shutters, sport items and textiles.
Tesero has always been the artistic and cultural center of the Val di Fiemme valley, with its churches, capitals and frescoes decorating its age-old, traditional-style houses.
You can angle in the Lake Tesero's recreational center and take a Nordic walk in the Nordic Walking Park, which is the first and foremost Nordic walking park in Trentino with its 60 km marked paths. Lots of fitness lovers like to attend the park.

Winter

It is actually very close to Centro del Fondo di Lago di Tesero (Tesero Lake Cross-country ski center), where many international competitions have been held in the past and which will host the Nordic Ski World Championship in 2011. Tesero is also close to the huge Ski Center Latemar featuring 40 km of ski-runs, which wind down from the Pampeago Alpine Peak (1757 meters) and up to Predazzo and Obereggen.

Tesero has always been the artistic and cultural center of the Val di Fiemme valley, with its churches, capitals, sundials and frescoes decorating its age-old, traditional-style houses.
Every year it showcases a much-loved exhibition of artistic Nativity Scenes displayed on the streets of the town.
