Sports and relax, from Varena to Lavazè Pass: a vacation close to nature
Located at the foot of Corno Nero, slightly above Cavalese, Varena (1180 meters) is one of the oldest inhabited villages in the whole Trentino region. It gives access to one of the most unique natural locations in the Val di Fiemme area, the Lavazè Pass plateau, which is 10 kilometres away. It would be a shame to miss this stunning corner of nature, where you can hike and mountain-bike ride even in the adjacent Bolzano area. And from the nearby town of Cavalese, you can thoroughly enjoy all the Val di Fiemme summer highlights.

Sports and relax, from Varena to Lavazè Pass: the perfect vacation for all ages
Located at an height of over 1000 meters at the foot of Corno Nero, Varena is one of the oldest inhabited villages in the whole Trentino region. It is a excellent base to reach Lavazè Pass plateau, which is 10 kilometres away. Thanks to its 80 km ski-runs available at the state-of-the-art Centro del fondo (cross-country ski centre), this plateau is the perfect environment for Nordic skiing. The nearby Snow Park Lavazé is also equipped with three runs for respectively for sleigh, bobsleigh and rubber rings with moving walkway. From Varena it is easy to reach all the highlights offered by the ski area of Fiemme and Fassa.

Car:
Varena can easily be reached by car from North and South on the Brennero state road 12 or the Brennero motorway A22 (exit Enga/Ora, toll gate 27 km away) and (from Egna/Ora) carry on on the Dolomite state road SS 48, direction Cavalese, and from Cavalese on the state road SS 620 of Lavazè.
Public transport:
The railway station Trento or better Egna/Ora can be reached directly, from where excellent bus services to Cavalese and from there to Varena are offered.
Airplane:
The nearest airports are Catullo in Verona (90 km distance), Marco Polo in Venice (195 km), Milano Linate (245 km) and the new airport in Bolzano (60 km).
