Inside the Adamello Brenta Nature Park or along the beautiful bike-path
The typical ancient village of Val Rendena, Vigo (from the Latin "vicus" - village), features a community especially proud of its origins. Its etymology and history are witness to the creation of the first human settlements in the valley. The village is located in the lower part of the valley, in a natural landscape of unique beauty: the Adamello Brenta Nature Park.
The nature and the existing facilities allow one to relax even by practising sports, from hiking to mountain-bike riding, from angling to bowls. The beautiful bike-path of Rendena starts from Villa, along the way offers a lovely location for a break, the Bici-Grill in Vigo, and runs all the way to Sant'Antonio di Mavignola, on the way up to Campiglio.
According to ancient regulations (1384), Vigo and Darè are the only communities in the Trento province to share church and cemetery, even though each one is self-governed and has its own mayor and municipal council.
