The town of Garniga Terme is located at an altitude of 810 metres above sea level on the south-eastern slope of Monte Bondone, just a few kilometres from Trento and Rovereto. GRASS BATHS: PHYTO-BATH THERAPY
From the ancient traditions of mountain farmers comes a unique cure that is one of its kind in Italy and that has scientifically validated the evolution of hay baths into "phyto-bath therapy", the scientific name now given to grass baths. This thermal method uses freshly harvested grasses coming from selected pastures located on Monte Bondone, where a rich mixture of officinal plants and flowers grows, unique in Trentino. Among the many species of plants used for the bath, of special significance are gentian, mountain arnica, hypericum, thyme, taraxacum, carline thistle and alpine anemone.
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Nature always has a remedy for every physical problem. The medicinal plants at Garniga are effective in curing (by means of packs and baths) pain and rigidity of the bones, joints and muscles.
The main ailments treated are:
• primary and secondary osteoarthrosis
• diffused and localised extra-articular rheumatism (periarthritis of the shoulder and hip,
insertional tendonitis, bursitis)
• arthropathies
• lower back pain and spondiloarthritis
• lumbar sciatalgia
• carpal tunnel syndrome
• muscle spasms, joint rigidity and post-trauma pain.

THE PHILOSOPHY OF WELL-BEING

THE SPA'S LINE OF COSMETICS
Terme di Garniga has created a line of products based on the use of Monte Bondone grasses and herbs. These cosmetics are used in some of the aesthetic treatments in the beauty centre.
