Trentino's cuisine awarded top marks
including awards from the prestigious guide books published by the L'Espresso group, which once again this year have awarded not only the best restaurants in our province but the highest quality wines too, reiterating the high culinary standards that Trentino has to offer.
As many as six restaurants in our area have been awarded the famous "Chef's Hat", which is the symbol of excellent cuisine. And to wash down all these delicacies there are, again, six wines which have earned the label of excellence.
The L'Espresso panel was suitably impressed by two sparkling wines, two reds, one sweet red and a white. The two sparkling wines commended were Trento Riserva Lunelli 2003 Ferrari and Trento Brut Riserva del Fondatore Giulio Ferrari 2001 Ferrari. Alongside these spumantes, an outstanding Besler Biank 2005 Pojer e Sandri, and amongst the reds, Cabernet Franc Tre Annate Rosi Eugenio and Granato 2007 Foradori received accolades along with another red, through this time sweet, Trentino Moscato Rosa 2008 Zeni.
Our province can also however boast as many as 12 wines awarded for their excellent quality/price ratio: Teroldego Rotaliano Maso Scari 2007 Barone de Cles,Trentino, Riesling Le Strope 2008 Zanotelli, Trento Brut Balter Nicola, La Civetta Rosso 2008 Letrari, Trentino Rosso Navesel 2007 Simoncelli Armando, Trentino Nosiola 2009 Battistoni Riccardo, Trentino Chardonnay Bottega Vinai 2009 Cavit, Trentino Marzemino 2009 Spagnolli Enrico, Kemer Le Strope 2009 Zanotelli and Trentino Müller Thurgau Le Strope 2009 Zanotelli.
