Grand Sports Events – Trentino

Trentino is the land of sport and sportsmen, the meeting place of great champions, famous teams and enthusiasts. For twelve months of the year the mountains, lakes and ultramodern facilities host crowd-pulling events. In the summer months, in July in particular, Trentino is home to a great many football teams that choose the clean air and green fields to train and build up power in their legs in preparation for the coming season. Notable among these are the Inter Milan and Bayern Munich teams. During the summer there are many unmissable events, ranging from sailing to mountain running and climbing.

In winter Alpine and Nordic skiing are the greatest attractions. The great champions are quite at home in Trentino, both when competing and while training, which brings to mind the retreats of the Italian and American ski teams and the Tour de Ski events. All this is going on while anticipating the grand event of 2013, when Val di Fiemme will host the World Championships of Nordic Skiing.
